What does a Golden Pistachio look like?

The Golden Pistachio is the most mysterious nut in the world. It will appear randomly as you play the game, in various diabolical locations. In level 3 and up, if you look hard enough and play enough screens, you will likely encounter one of these beauties. Crack one of them open to earn more points.

Cool game, man. Say, why are all the backgrounds located in California?

Because Wonderful Pistachios are grown and harvested in the great San Joaquin Valley in California.

What Internet browser can I use to play this fabulous game?

The game has been optimized for Google’s Chrome desktop browser. You can click to download Google Chrome. The game also works on Safari 5.0 and higher browsers. The game unfortunately doesn’t work on Firefox or Internet Explorer. And remember, The Hunt for the Golden Pistachio is too big for any smart phone or tablet. It only works on a desktop or laptop computer.

Can I play The Hunt for the Golden Pistachio on my mobile device?

The Hunt for the Golden Pistachio can currently only be played on a desktop browser (like the one you’re using now). Unfortunately, we don’t support iPhone, iPad, Android or other mobile devices.

What if the game screen doesn’t load? Or worse yet it’s all green?

Sounds like you need to enable cookies in your web browser, pal.

Okay. So how do I enable cookies in Chrome?

First, click the Wrench icon in the top-right of your browser window, and select ‘Preferences…’ (or ‘Options’ for Windows users). This will open a new tab where you should select “Under the Hood” in the left-hand navigation menu. Next, on the right-hand side, click the button labeled “Content Settings…” (I told you this was a good question!) Now you should see a list of choices under “Cookies” To enable cookies click on one of the first two radio buttons: “Allow local data to be set (recommended)” or “Allow local data to be set for the current session only” depending on your paranoia level. You can then close the preferences window and go back to the game.

GENERAL DESCRIPTION: During the Entry Period, play the Game and crack as many Golden Pistachios as you can as they appear. Golden Pistachios will randomly appear throughout the Game at various times and levels. The number of Golden Pistachios you crack while you play the Game during the Entry Period will be tracked under your account and will accumulate as you continue to play the Game.

Please note that when you redeem a prize at each Frequent Flyer Level, the number of Golden Pistachios you have cracked does not reset to zero. Instead, you will continue to accumulate the number of Golden Pistachios that you crack during the Entry Period.

REGISTRATION/ENTRY LIMITS & ADDITIONAL RESTRICTIONS: A person may only register ONCE for the Contest by using only one Facebook account. A single e-mail address may only be used by one person to register for/participate in the Contest (including playing the Game). Game play must be effected using only the computer keyboard as an input device; use of any other apparatus or mechanism to play the Game (or otherwise participate in the Contest) including any automated program, bot or the like constitutes tampering, is void and will result in disqualification and prize forfeiture. • Platinum Pistachio Status Prize (1,000): Winners will each receive one (1) coupon for $1.00 off one 6 oz or larger package of Wonderful® Pistachios (ARV: US $1.00 each coupon).
• Emerald Pistachio Status (750): Winners will each receive one (1) Angry Birds sticker. ARV: US $0.25 each prize.
• Sapphire Pistachio Status Prize (450): Winners will each receive one (1) Angry Birds plush toy. ARV: US $2.00 each prize.
• Ruby Pistachio Status Prize (100): Winners will each receive one (1) free bag of Wonderful® Pistachios. ARV: US $5.99 each prize.
• Diamond Pistachio Status Prize (Unlimited): Winners will each receive one (1) entry into the Grand Prize drawing for a chance to win. ARV: US $0.00 each prize.

Potential winners of the Frequent Flyer Prizes may redeem a prize by clicking the “Redeem Now” button found on the “Prize” page on the Website. You will be required to complete all of the required fields in the form in order to redeem your prize. The availability of prizes and redemption levels for each prize available for redemption will vary. Sponsor reserves the right to modify the redemption levels and prizes at any time during the Entry Period. Sponsor will endeavor to indicate which prizes are no longer available as soon as possible. You must comply with all terms, conditions, and restrictions applicable to each prize. Potential winners of the Grand Prizes will be selected in a random drawing held on Tuesday, July 3, 2012 from all eligible entries received during the Entry Period. Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received. Potential Grand Prize winners will be notified within three (3) business days following the drawing by phone, mail and/or e-mail and may be required to execute and return an affidavit of eligibility, a liability release and, where lawful, a publicity release within seven (7) days of date of issuance. If such documents are not returned within the specified time period, prize notification is returned as undeliverable, Sponsor is unable to contact a potential winner within a reasonable time period or a potential winner is not in compliance with these Term and Conditions, prize will be forfeited and, at Sponsor’s discretion and time permitting, an alternate winner selected.
